Ursula K. Le Guin
1929-2018 · Libertarian Socialism · Renowned
Le Guin was an American novelist and essayist who was an anarchist outside her fiction as well as inside it. In The Dispossessed she settled a moon with anarchists to test the idea: no state and no authority standing over anyone, cooperation and mutual aid in its place, and nonviolence. Her Taoism treats opposites as two halves of one thing and yields to nature instead of trying to master it.
