Ayn Rand
1905-1982 · Liberalism · Renowned
Rand was a Russian-American novelist who called her system Objectivism and built it from a flat starting point, existence exists: the world is what it is whether you like it or not. Reason is the only route to knowledge, rational self-interest is the whole of morality, each person exists for their own sake, and an unregulated market is the one moral economy. Her novels sold that system in the millions.
